What are SDGs?
What are SDGs?
SDGs is an abbreviation for Sustainable Development Goals, which were adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015 and are goals set by the 193 member countries of the United Nations to be achieved in the 15 years from 2016 to 2030.
CIC is actively involved in the following SDG goals in particular:
Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
We support the future of children in developing countries via donations to non-profit organizations (e.g.,UNICEF).
Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
One of the specific targets of the SDGs on gender equality is to “enhance the use of ICTs and other enabling technologies to promote women’s empowerment (5.b).” Based on this, CIC has a policy of actively hiring women and promoting remote global-consulting services. CIC has female virtual assistants based in Kenya since 2021 and they assisted corporate administrative work.
Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
Through our online platform and global network, we outsource the maximum number of tasks that support our corporate management to experts in developing countries.
For example, the CIC logo design was commissioned to a designer in Bangladesh. All virtual assistants are hired from Africa and Latin America for corporate administrative work.
Goal 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
Since its inception, CIC has focused on supporting global companies in their digital business strategies and transformation and hopes to contribute to the foundation of industrial and technological innovation via innovation-promoting projects for companies that have an impact on Japan and the rest of the world.
